Stillness Timer is a free web-based meditation timer. Features may include customizable session length, preparation delay, synthesized meditation bells, optional interval bells, pause/resume/reset controls, and local preference storage in your browser.

The Service does not require an account, does not charge fees, and does not process payments. No paid plans or in-app purchases are offered through this site.

Personal use

You may use the Service for your own personal meditation and mindfulness practice. You may not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it in a way that harms availability, or use it for unlawful purposes.

You may not present the Service as your own product or remove branding in a way that misleads others about its origin, except where applicable open-source or fair-use rights clearly allow otherwise.

Not medical advice

Stillness Timer is intended for general wellbeing, relaxation, and personal mindfulness practice only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional.

If you have a medical or mental-health condition, or if meditation causes distress, consult an appropriate professional before or while using tools like this timer.

Availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the timer accurate and available, including when browser tabs are in the background, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Features may change, pause, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Browser permissions (such as autoplay or audio) may affect whether bells play as expected.

Intellectual property

The Stillness Timer name, site design, and original content on this site are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy substantial portions of the site for commercial redistribution without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stillness Timer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Because the Service is free and does not process payments, our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed zero U.S. dollars, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

Your use of the Service is also described in our Privacy Policy, which explains that preferences are stored locally and that we do not operate accounts or collect personal meditation data for advertising.
